Some of my avid readers will recognise a couple of paragraphs ahead as I have touched on it before. Nonetheless keep reading. It's worth it.

Around August I began to post on social media about Orson Welles a lot. I didn't know why then. But often I do things that only ever become apparent even to me at some undefined date in the future.

‘Throughout his career, Welles grappled with the abrasion inevitable in such a lofty position whether from the critics or filmmakers. Hence, he developed a thick skin andtook great pleasure in criticising his peers with whom he couldn’t get along, either personally or artistically'.

I am not about to compare myself to Orson Welles, a mad genius if ever I saw one.

BUT he like me, had issues with his peers/colleagues. I was quite clear about those issues at the zenith of the hacking and surveillance campaign against me in August and September. Where few people were willing to be seen with me, take my calls or answer my emails. Despite detailed and thorough information that it was happening and ongoing.

Many of those cowards and chameleons / journalists and editors read this newsletter. So I salute the exceptions to the rule, that being:
