Lucky old me!

On May 22, 1962, Malcolm X addressed a group of Black people in Los Angeles, California, in which he spoke to the plight of Black women. He said,

The most disrespected person in America is the Black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the Black woman. The most neglected person in America is the Black woman.

I thought about it again recently. In my last but one newsletter, Cowards and Chameleons I recounted the tale of my first last and only time to go on BBC White Woman's hour but it also makes me think of how Black women are treated in most industries. For instance the treatment I have recently had from the Howard League. who’s CEO, Andrea Coomber I have interviewed twice.
